Come earn a free day pass for just 3-4 hours of volunteering. Check out our Volunteers Wanted page under the 2021 Event tab for information about volunteering at Gaslight Steampunk Expo. We are organized under a 501(c)3 non-profit California Corporation, the San Diego Speculative Fiction Society, Inc, and everyone who helps run Expo is also an unpaid volunteer.
Be part of the fun and help make Gaslight Steampunk Expo one of the best fan conventions in Southern California!

Hi, What would a volunteer be doing? This is the first time I’ve visited your website.
Some of the departments that are seeking volunteers include our Maker Workshop Office (checking in instructors/students), Logistics (moving all the things), Display Room Monitors (make sure none of the items wander off), A/V Tech (running projectors, hooking up laptops), Programming Ops (make sure the presentations start & end on time, change out name cards), Con Suite (restocking or fetching more supplies), Dance Monitors (make sure everyone has their badge), Vendor Hall Monitors (make sure everyone has their badge, fetch snacks/drinks for vendors).
