Death Stalks the Scottish Highlands

Near the shores of an ancient Scottish loch, an anomaly exists among the thatched cottages of the local sheep herders. On a promontory overlooking the churning waters, sits the estate of Ravencroft, a monstrously dark Gothic mansion with tall turrets and moss-covered stone walls that towers over the heather covered highlands. So remote is this location, the only way to reach it is by steam train transferring to a horse-drawn carriage on dangerously rutted roads or by hot air balloon.

Each of you who will be joining the Mystery has been invited to Ravencroft to celebrate the 75th birthday or Laird Maxwell. His immense wealth came from manufacturing tartan plaids for kilt makers all over Scotland. Laird Maxwell’s popularity soared when he received the blessing and valuable patronage of Queen Victoria upon creating an exclusive tartan design just for her. Unfortunately, the Laird had not family, so his loyal butler and housekeeper arranged this surprise party in the lovely and meticulous kept gardens.
